Following the 1% – an education for “the masses”
There are a class of people who seem to succeed at everything – and own the world’s wealth. They seem to control vast amounts of things and almost do it effortlessly.
So how do they do this?
There are many hints.
You won’t find them out in some park doing drugs, having sex, and leaving a mess others must clean up.
You won’t find them constantly complaining about how this or that is bad and how they are a victim of or seeking to “cure” or “eradicate” some old “societal ill”.
You won’t find them playing crony politics or crony capitalism.
Because none of the above 3 ploys work.
They gave us the “Occupy” movement. They give us our current political system and parties which don’t seem to change much, even when a true radical takes over the White House.
They give us dead ends. They are dead ends.
It’s long been known that business works faster than any law. That a savvy businessperson will already have been there, done that, and gotten their profits out of a market long before some idiot politician will pass a law against what they are doing in order to curry some votes for an imagined ill against a poor, maligned set of voters.
Because those businesspeople know that the government, as defined by its laws, are telling you exactly where you should be putting your money and how you should be doing business.
For instance, they do they tax income so highly? Because they don’t really want you to work for someone else.
And even though corporations are taxed higher in the U.S. than most everywhere else, why do we still have more corporations having control over huge areas of the economy? Because corporations pay taxes on profits, not income. (Of course, this means the U.S. really doesn’t want corporations here, either – and so jobs go overseas.)
But don’t figure China has everything figured out because they control their money. They are only following what has become the dead-end society model of Western governments. A rising middle class getting fatter because they are eating a pre-packaged, processed diet and so getting more illnesses (heart disease, diabetes) just like the U.S. and other “developed” countries. As well, their policy of one family, one child is leaving them with a problem of an elderly population which is growing out of proportion to the young than any other country on the planet. They are going to run out of workers by 2050 – which is when world population peaks anyway, according to the experts.
The government is telling you to live off investments and passive income. The general rule: If you want less of something, tax it; if you want more of something, subsidize it. And so fuel prices go up and economies stall, perplexing political (note: Ivy League Academically-trained) wannabe’s. Clueless.
So the point of following the 1% leads down a trail which tells you more and more what not to do.
Because they don’t follow the 99%.
The 1% know how to get 1000% out of everything they do. Because they have learned along the way just how to focus and how to stay focused.
And this has great applicability in your own life.
Because only 1% of all that goes around you will actually lead you to the “road out”. That is where your real success will come from, and it is the gift which keeps on giving to and through infinity.
And is exactly what all the truly successful people down through history have known.
Politicians don’t know this, and neither do any Academic you may meet – so people who graduate from a university with a degree in the oxymoronic “political science” (like military intelligence) have two feet buried trying to walk on sand. They are going to have to re-educate themselves from scratch in order to get anywhere.
It’s no surprise that out of the top ten richest people on the planet, there are a large percentage who never graduated from college. And of the few who did, they didn’t go to a top-flight, Ivy League university – no, they came out of mostly unknown schools. And you will see no/few Masters and PhD’s there (except honorary ones). Because college education is inversely proportional to becoming a 1% success. Statistically.
The 1% aren’t of any particular sex, race, ethnics, or background, either. Their success isn’t determined by age.
Their success is determined by their focus, which is very, very narrow and directed. And that’s based on what works.
Success in this day and age is just as it’s always been. The more you earn, the more you can help others. The people who earn the most help the most people. That follows the oldest natural “laws” which exist. And the 1% know these natural laws.
It’s why “Think and Grow Rich” continues to be a bestseller, and is on the bookshelves of all those who succeed. Because it teaches you these natural laws, and the chief one being to “develop a BURNING DESIRE” as Hill said – ie. FOCUS.
Once you do, then all the world’s wealth can be yours. If you still want it.
Most multi-billioniaires still stumble over this fact – money can’t buy you the few truly valuable things you were born with. And so spend the rest of their lives giving away their fortune.
So don’t think the uber-rich are the 1%. They aren’t. Sure the 1% have all the money they need, but they are always reinvesting it into something else which will generate more income so they can help even more people.
Because the only game that wins consistently is the one which helps the greatest amount of people the greatest amount of the time.
And this is why Freedom to Choose keeps getting a wider and wider reception. Also why all these dead-end belief-systems (marxist, fascist, communist, islamicist) keep killing all the people who follow them. Because they only benefit a handful of people who are nominally “in charge”. And only while they remain in charge. But because people “in charge” create enemies, they don’t last long. So they don’t benefit other than a few and don’t enable others to help others improve.
The 1% are helping everyone they meet. And invest heavily in other 1%er’s when they find them. Because these people believe in giving everyone power of choice to create (or wreck) their own lives, they are respected and honored wherever they go – if they are recognized at all.
The 1% don’t particularly worry about the poor, even though they contribute more personally to their welfare than anyone else. They know the poor are that way because they have a habit of making bad choices. But the 1% also know that things can turn on a dime. That a person can sort through those bad experiences and turn them into an education which will tell them exactly what to do in order to climb out of that mess and start succeeding.
These stories make up the American Dream. These stories have nothing to do with these artificial “rights” like Housing and Healthcare.
Because the 1% know that the only rights you have are the ones you were born with. Everything else you have to earn. Your true natural rights can’t be taken from you – you can temporarily give control of them over to someone else, but you can take that control back anytime you want.
The 1% live in a “magic” world because they understand exactly how this universe works. And will tell you. If you can find them.

I tell you now about a business you should be in. Low investment, no storefront to own, online purchasing and direct/drop shipping. No entry requirements. No glass ceiling. None. But it’s only available in the U.S. and a handful of other countries (China, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Canada, and some others).
Shaklee. Been around over 50 years. And they don’t advertise, but continue to expand. Based on the Golden Rule.
There’s a video page here which tells a bit about it.

What is healthy?
According to Wikipedia:
The freedictionary has it as:
l
th
)Skeat’s Etymological Dictionary has it coming from the Anglo-Saxon and earlier terms which meant “whole”. Which is confirmed by the Online Etymology Dictionary as :
- health (n.)
- O.E. hælþ “wholeness, a being whole, sound or well,” from P.Gmc. *hailitho, from PIE *kailo- “whole, uninjured, of good omen” (cf. O.E. hal “hale, whole;” O.N. heill “healthy;” O.E. halig, O.N. helge “holy, sacred;” O.E. hælan “to heal”). Of physical health in M.E., but also “prosperity, happiness, welfare; preservation, safety.”
This then gives us our solution and our problem.
To give you a comparative, I’d tell you about Dr. Forrest C. Shaklee, of the Shaklee Corporation. While his life was explored by “The Shaklee Story” by R. L. Shook (and a nice excerpt of that book is found here), there are a couple of highlights you need to know.
As a child, he was born with tuberculosis. Wasn’t actually expected to live through the night – but he did. To help him heal, the family moved from the coal mines near Carlisle, Iowa, to a farm near Moorland in northern Iowa. There he spent as much time as he could outdoors, and helped pick various herbs and plants for remedies. This time spent in resting and reflection, along with the healthy food, sunshine, and exercise was his cure.
And he then became dedicated to helping people heal. He trained and became a chiropractor. In Fort Dodge, Iowa, he built a clinic which was devoted to bringing people back to health. During this time, he contracted cancer from use of early (unshielded) x-ray machine use from helping others. While he was told he would be a multiple amputee and only a few months to live at that, he refused that idea. Selling the clinic, he returned to Davenport, Iowa.
There he began an intensive program of nutrition, continual blood analysis, and occasional fasting. In order to have the freshest, most nourishing diet, he regularly drove to the countryside, where he purchased fruits and vegetables from farmers the same day they were picked. Over months, he started showing improvement and by four years after he was diagnosed, the Chicago clinic which originally diagnosed him, as well as the Mayo clinic, both were impressed with his progress. However, they could only say that the cancer was “in remission” and would not venture that he had cured himself with nutrition and strength of will. They also had no interest in pursuing the program which Shaklee had discovered – which is that supplements can help solve.
A 17-year-old video tells more about this:
And this really brings us right up into our modern age where more and more of our food is being processed and packaged, without a lot of regard for its nutritional value. Farming became more and more mechanized and chemicalized. more people were living because our food production and distribution lines were improved, especially after WWII, but the continuing rise of obesity and diabetes incidences – both of which preventable with a more natural lifestyle which has balanced diets and exercise – all this shows we have far more work to do.
A more current video (only 3 years old) tells the rest of this story:And this is really why I found Shaklee and became an Independent Distributor.
Because it makes sense. And helps me help others with improving their own lives. Please do your own due diligence. Don’t believe what I say – decide for yourself. And decide what is best to bring “healthy” into your own world as a way of life. Thank you.

How to Get Rid of Flies
One of the most interesting things to research online is how a common household cleaner can be used to reduce or eradicate flies. And find that everyone is rave about it.
That cleaner is Shaklee’s Basic H. Now, the common misunderstanding is that Basic H is some sort of soap. It’s actually a biodegradable surfactant, derived from the natural surfactants found in corn and coconut. Basic-H is not soap or a detergent. Basic-H is 100% organic, non-flammable, non-toxic, and non-irritating (a neutral pH the same as skin, about 6.5). Basic-H is completely biodegradable, phosphate-free, non-volatile, and non-magnetic. The primary ingredients of Basic-H will quickly convert within a few days to water and carbon dioxide when in contact with natural bacteria in water and soil.
Surfactants make water “wetter”. But it really just means that it reduces the normal tension water has, and so allows it to interact with other elements and minerals more effectively. Basic-H is an effective cleaner because it lifts dirt and oil from surfaces and holds them in suspension so they can be wiped away. For flies and insects, this means they become more permeable. So they have (as we’ll find out below) an aversion to the stuff. But unlike the chemical combinations produced by our modern-day industries, it’s perfectly safe as it will break down over time.
And the most difficult thing about it is actually getting rid of it – because it comes in a highly concentrated form and very small amounts are used in cleaning.
In the recipes I’ve found for fly control, Basic H is usually used in much higher concentrations. But it will still last a long time.
Here’s a partial list – just what I’ve found to treat flies and related nuisances:
Cow Spray: Use 1 part BASIC-H to 4 parts water as a non-toxic cow spray. Flies will leave your cows alone. You can also use 4 ounces of BASIC-G and 1 quart of BASIC-H as your concentrate. Then take 1 ounce of the above concentrate and mix with 1 gallon of water.
White Flies and Aphids: One tsp. of BASIC-H per gallon of water kills aphids quickly, but nothing else.
Horses: This is the most commented subject on the web. You can use it to spray areas where flies breed or congregate, once they have been misted, they can’t fly anymore and die. They hate it, and will not bother or bite horses who have been sprayed with it. You can make a diluted spray with 5-7 parts water and one part basic H. PH is in the range of human and horse skin, so it is great for sensitive skinned horses and people.
“Just last year, my neighbor (who owns 12 horses), literally poisoned herself by spraying her horses with chemical fly spray. She inhaled enough of the residual chemicals to cause herself harm. Now she is a Basic H consumer for life!”
Another horse-lover writes:
Other horse recipes include:
- Shampoo: 1 tablespoon in 5 gallons of water.
- Fly Spray: 2 oz in 12 oz of water. Use in 16 oz spray bottle. Shiny coats!
- Clean Up: Basic-H is used to wash water buckets and tack off. – ½ tablespoon to 1 gallon of water.
Horseflies: One rider writes:
Gnats: take 2 Tbsp of apple cider vinegar and 2 tsp of sugar with a drop of basic H and put into a cup or jar. Cover with a tight cover of plastic wrap and secure it with a rubber band. Poke a few (3-4) small holes on top, swish the vinegar around and leave it on counter (or wherever they roam) and watch them collect after awhile.
Mosquitoes: Either apply it directly to the skin (do NOT get it in the eyes) or cut it half-and-half with water. As above, it will act as a repellant. And when you come inside, it will wash right off. It’s also useful as full-strength on any insect bite to reduce itching.
One dog lover contributed:
Fleas and Ticks: Apply 1 cap full of Basic-H or squirt full-strength to affected area on pet with fleas then shampoo; Basic-H drowns fleas and stops itching. Lather up hair and wait 5 to 10 minutes (suds will be low), then rinse off. Flea dip and shampoo all in one. One owner reported that the chemical combinations left her dog rolling in the yard trying to get them off her fur, but would come running to get treated after experiencing Basic H.
(You don’t want to use this remedy with cats, due to the way they clean themselves.) Yard Spray to Rid of Fleas: In hose bottle (like Ortho’s), fill with water, add ½ teaspoon of Basic-H & 1 cap full of Basic-G. Attach to hose & spray yard every 10 days for 3 applications. Use twice a year thereafter to control. Rinse all plants thoroughly. Note: Please note that Shaklee only endorses human use of their products for cleaning applications. Shaklee products are not tested on animals, nor are they licensed for use with animals. However pet owners all over the country on their own have used different Shaklee products with their pets and reported excellent results.
How to be a distributor – or not.
This is another fascinating journey to take. For our worlds are filled with so much fascinating reasons to fail these days – when a person comes out with a bona-fide reason and way to succeed, it’s usually clamped down and squashed.
Sure, now we have that huge government problem – which has spawned endless layers of bureaucracy that are pointed to as the real reason our strong American nation and Western culture hasn’t simply bounced back as it should have. And our politicians simply aren’t helping. Because government is in the business of making more government. Politicians spend their time passing more laws which hire more bureaucrats – instead of simply getting rid of the monstrous and conflicting laws which we already have.
I retired from a great deal of all this consternation sometime ago, just to study out this scene. I live and operate a small farm in rural Missouri, hours away from the nearest “big” airport. To get here from either coast takes about 5 hours of traveling, no matter if you had a limo meet you at the airport to drive you right to my farm. There are more remote areas, but this one fits me fine.
And in this decade of semi-isolation, I’ve tested out many different theories and boiled down multiple belief systems to just a handful of working programs (which I call the Thrivelearning System – but we aren’t going there today.)
Always, in the back of everything, has been that apparent struggle just to survive. (And that’s just another lie, since abundance is actually native to everyone.) However, this is the game we are playing, so I’m telling people what I know – just to spoil it.
If you’ve heard of Shaklee, you either have a positive, negative, or no opinion of it. But it’s unlikely that you haven’t heard about it.
The real bottom line (which I’ll give you a video shortly) is that in their system, you can be a distributor and help your friends and family with their high-quality products. And you can have all the time you want to spend with your own family.
And this is revolutionary. That nagging thought in the back of your mind is that this must be a scam, because it “must not be possible”.
Now lets look at the ideal for computer programming and networks – there’s something called “small pieces loosely-joined” as way to compile our existing world into a working and inter-related system. (And there’s even a book by this name.) It is how the most successful software development projects succeed. By many names (“scrum” is one) – the idea is to have high levels of personal creativity and responsibility, while also having a loose inter-coordination with other members of their teams. They would simply split up a project into it’s larger and smaller parts, then assign small groups of people to make those parts work. They’d meet once a week to ensure all their parts worked together, but were given their own leash on how best (and fastest) to approach the goal for the part they had signed onto.
But this approach is greater than just software development. It is, in fact, the way the American continent was developed out of a wilderness and into a continuing world economic leader. It’s not a “top down” scene. That ultimately leads to failure. Every huge organization which did this simply failed eventually. But the brand names which are still around learned the ability to reinvent themselves and re-create their company by simply breaking it back down into parts (usually selling off the parts they didn’t now need) and getting back to their core values.
What this has to you and how to be a distributor – this brings in Shaklee.

Imagine a company which has great products, doesn’t tell you how to sell or market them. Instead of putting out a ton of money into international marketing campaigns, they just put all that same money right back to sales commissions. Doesn’t make sense, does it? That company should be a failure.
However, Shaklee has been going for over 50 years. As far as I know, they are the only company which actually has made multi-level-marketing successful. This is because they simply invest in a high-quality products and the team which finds and delivers to customers. And they use the Internet to do their distribution, so it’s a very simple, direct, and sensible proposition. Their international headquarters has less than 100 employees, yet that company generates billions in profits every year – which are mostly spread out as commission payments.
Watch this video from the current CEO, Roger Barnett, who spent five years looking for the “perfect company” to invest in – and if you’ve watched Oprah, you’ll know that this was when he had to find a solution to an illness brought on in his young son because of the toxic chemicals being used to clean their home (but that’s another video).
And there’s a lot more to watch on the FC Shaklee YouTube Channel
However, that’s more than enough today. Consider that you’ve spent all your life training to take advantage of this opportunity. Now someone has just opened the door to your future success. Your choice. Have fun with this.Another test
